Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of Comm Bank, delivering a seamless banking experience for the future, to our 10 million + personal and small business customers. The purpose of Insurance Retail Advice & Partnerships Crew is to lead the Australian bancassurance market with enhanced partnership offers and experiences for Comm Bank customers, growing revenue and managing retention. The I&RAP Crew partners with: Hollard for Home, Car and Landlord Insurance; AIA for Retail Advice referrals, Income Protection, and Life and Health Insurance; and, Pet Sure for Pet Insurance.
The partnership with Hollard and Pet Sure, over the next 6 months will transition >800k customers to new Home, Car and Landlords Insurance products and bring to market new insurance propositions. The team is currently based across Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
Do work that matters
Reporting directly to the Chapter Lead, Wealth Partnerships and indirectly to the Product Owner GI Partnership Strategy & Incubation, you will be responsible for creating and implementing product strategies to meet diverse customer needs and achieve business targets. You will work in a cross functional squad as a product management leader to drive outcomes that deliver disproportionate value, seek out and overcome obstacles, effectively manage strategic partnerships, equip the squad with data to aid better judgement, provide thought leadership and inspire others to do the same.
You will support the squad with day to day and strategic initiatives. These would cover but not be limited to –
- Customer research and data analysis to support ideation activities
- User Story creation and Backlog management
- Manage the work flow of customer facing collateral and perform due diligence reviews
- Awareness of the Dev Sec Op’s model
- Be able to interface in and lead activities with our partners
On any given day you will
- Develop business cases and implementation plans, driving transformational projects, and tracking the progress of initiatives against the strategy and defined success metrics
- Working jointly with our external business partner Hollard
- Regularly liaising and collaborating with internal/external business stakeholders and partners to influence product design, features, pricing and policy to ensure they meet our customers’ needs
- Designing the end-to-end customer experience, and distribution processes in various channels
- Leveraging data analysis and “deep dives” to determine any risks and opportunities and recommend and implement actions to optimise the P&L, or customer outcome
- Ensuring products meet regulatory, compliance and legal requirements, including complying with Group policies for product development or management
- Play a leading role across the broader I&RAP Crew, fostering collaborative culture and ensuring all CBA values are demonstrated at all times
We're interested in hearing from people with:
- Analytical and problem solving capability
- Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to balance risk, customer and business performance outcomes
- Experience in Retail Banking and/or Wealth/Insurance would be advantageous
- Proven ability to work independently while managing multiple streams of work, effectively prioritising and delivering to deadlines
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and navigate around ambiguity
- Strong Communication, Influencing and Stakeholder Engagement skills
- A risk and analytical mindset – ability to identify, assess and escalate any potential risks relating to change communications or future deliverables across Crews
- An eye for detail with the ability to produce high quality work without supervision
- Project management, communications or OCM experience will be valuable but not essential
- Agile trained or experience in leading ceremonies and project tracking platforms (JIRA)
