Mount Gambier Technical College will be a visionary institution that aims to revolutionise technical education in South Australia. The State Government is investing in Technical Colleges that will set the standard for excellence in their design, learning environment and delivery of skills-based training for school-enrolled students.
Located in the Education, Training and Research precinct on Wireless Road, set to open in 2026, Mount Gambier Technical College will provide students with access to industry training on a part-time basis while staying enrolled in their home school. It will support not only public students from across the Limestone Coast Region, but will be open to students from the private school sector.
Mount Gambier Technical College will have short stay accommodation facilities on site and offer four industry training programs for careers in Agri-tech (for careers in manufacturing, agriculture and horticulture), Early Childhood and Education, Health and Social Support, and Multi-trades (for careers in engineering, plumbing, construction and electrical)

What You Will Do:

• Educational Leadership: Drive the development and delivery of industry training programs, ensuring they align with industry demands and equip students with the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed to succeed in the workforce.
• Strategic Planning: Lead the establishment and expansion of Mt Gambier Technical College including the accommodations facilities.
• Partnership Building: Collaborate with industry leaders, employer partners, and high schools to create pathways for students' seamless transition into apprenticeships, traineeships, entry-level employment, or further education.

What you will need:

• High level experience in delivery, implementation and evaluation of vocational education and or innovative programs in partnership with industry and employers
• Ability to lead staff in a complex multi-stakeholder environment including the ability to problem solve, communicate and enact solutions.
• Management experience for effective operations (strategy, finance, performance monitoring) relevant to the running of the Mount Gambier Technical College.
