Principal Advisor - (Health Safety & Environment Governance)
What you will do: In your role, you will: - Develop, implement, and maintain an HSE management system for the Customer Services Branch (CSB) that complies with legal and internationalstandards, ensuring effective governance practices, documentation of requirements and processes, and proper management of HSE records.- Lead the management review of the HSE governance system at planned intervals, ensuring issues are resolved through critical analysis and effectiveproblem-solving to maintain its suitability, adequacy, effectiveness, and alignment with the branch's HSE objectives.- Collaborate with stakeholders, key providers, managers, risk and audit experts, HSE subject matter experts, auditors, and team members to establish HSE objectives. Monitor progress, ensure business continuity, and implement a corrective action process for investigations, inspections, audits, and reviews, while applying stakeholder relationship management skills to engage, influence, and support effective systems and HSE team activities within specified timeframes.- Ensure that sound system administration concepts, principles, methodologies and tools are applied in the delivery of HSE governance practices.
Who we are looking for: An individual with: - A 'C' class driver's license, due to the need to undertake investigations within this role.- Qualification (e.g. Diploma) in work a health, safety, wellbeing or environmental discipline or quality management system that is, ISO 9001.- Significant experience in planning, delivering and supporting HSE governance and management systems including documented information requirements.- Awareness of HSE related legislation and best practices.- Able to liaise with stakeholders and manage external vendors to establish HSE objectives, support systems management, and ensure business continuity and timely delivery of objectives.- Apply system administration and problem-solving skills to deliver HSE governance practices and resolve system issues through critical analysis.
