Our Lifestyle Assistant are responsible for supporting the delivery of recreational programs for aged care residents to promote their psychological, social, and physical wellbeing.
ABOUT THE ROLE
An understanding, empathy, appreciation and the ability to promote the Christian values and ethos of The Salvation Army
Work sympathetically and effectively with people living with dementia to create positive experiences for residents.
Monitor and review recreational needs of aged residents to develop suitable, innovative activities and programs
Empathetic approach, enthusiasm and patience - ability to use initiative to create positive experiences for residents
Communicate effectively with residents, families and other employees, including to sensitively explore resident needs or encourage resident participation
Committed team player with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
ABOUT YOU
Certificate III in Aged Care and/or Cert IV in Lifestyle and Leisure
Demonstrated experience working with the aged and an understanding of aged related conditions
Computer literate and experienced using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.)
