We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand to join our vibrant team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the health and wellbeing of our clients while working in a supportive environment. As a Kitchen Hand, you will be essential in delivering timely and efficient catering and cleaning services. Your role will include preparing and serving meals, assisting with laundry duties and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for our clients. If you enjoy teamwork and have a knack for multitasking, we want to hear from you! Key responsibilities include:
Assist with meal preparation and service, including breakfasts, soups, and quick meals.
Support laundry operations, including sorting, washing, and delivering clean items.
Perform general housekeeping tasks to maintain a tidy environment.
Engage with clients to assist with menu selections and dietary needs.
Carry out minor sewing repairs and high cleaning duties as required.
Essential Criteria
Limited experience in providing a catering service required.
Ability to work effectively within a team and relate to staff at all levels.
Flexible approach to work and rostering.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with respect for diverse backgrounds.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and perform under general direction.
Commitment to confidentiality and discretion in all tasks.

Ceduna Hospital has 15 inpatient beds and provides services including emergency, surgical, general medicine, birthing, renal dialysis, diagnostic radiology and outpatients. There are also residential aged care services provided within the hospital, at the Kuhlmann Wing and Ceduna Senior Citizens Village. There is also a GP family practice, Community Health services, Allied Health services, and Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services offered on the hospital site.
