About The Role
Deaf Connect is seeking a driven internal communication coordinator to develop and implement effective internal communication strategies to keep our employees informed, engaged and aligned with company goals.
In consultation with the Chief People & Culture Officer you will be responsible for implementing internal communication activities, this includes writing, planning, and coordinating various communications pieces.
You will bring your proactive approach in managing organisational communication flows, with a strong focus on inclusivity, particularly in addressing the unique needs of the Deaf community.

Main responsibilities of the role include:
Coordinates the delivery of projects an internal communications pieces to an agreed timeframe and with a high level of accuracy.
Coordinates the development of internal communications and engagement pieces in English and Auslan in line with the internal communications strategy.
Liaises with the Marketing Team to ensure content creation and dissemination delivered in line with existing processes.
Contributes to content development for internal communications to support the individual content owners, including support for video production and content design.
Seeks out and identifies new content opportunities to meet organisational and campaign goals.
About You

Sound level of understanding of contemporary customer engagement and internal communications theory, practice and technologies.
Sound understanding of and experience with communication principles.
Experience with developing effective communications and engagement tools and techniques for application across multiple programs, services and channels.
Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement and customer analytics.
Experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal customers.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams in planning, coordinating and implementing communications and engagement plans.
Proficient in communicating using Auslan
