About the Opportunity
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to join our team in Osborne SA. Reporting to the L&D Technical Program Manager you will analyse business requirements to develop competency-based courses. As an Instructional Designer you will also determine how technology can be used to enhance and facilitate delivery, while providing best practice learning design and develop services to a broad range of stakeholders. You will develop tailored training materials, flexible solutions for face to face, e Learning or other blended delivery techniques to effectively meet the business needs.
Responsibilities
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
Whilst ASC will accept all applications for this role, as this role requires an ability to access protected US defence technology, applicants holding nationality of certain foreign countries will not be eligible.

Responsibilities
- Ensure Training programs and tools are fit for purpose and meet the current and future capability needs of the customer, including researching methods and techniques of training delivery.
- Exercise innovation to develop engaging e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and blended learning solutions using best practices in instructional design.
- Redesign existing courses to a student-centred, partially blended online delivery method.
- Design/storyboard supporting e Learning material/media (using audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.) for e Learning modules.
- Learning and Development brand is clear and offerings accessible to the workforce.
- Work with subject matter experts to understand target audience training needs.
- Apply end-to-end training project management skills.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or Diploma of Training Design and Development (TAE50216) Or equivalent, or minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience in Learning Design or closely related field.
- Experience working in a national, multi-site technical organisation is highly desirable.
- Excellent visual design skills, particularly in e-learning and instructional design.
- Experience with Articulate Rise 360, Storyline 360 is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated skills in strong stakeholder engagement and development.
- Proficiency in videography, particularly with Camtasia, is a valuable asset. Experience in creating and editing video content will enhance the overall learning experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
