About Us
The South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS) Is responsible for protecting the South Australian community from the effects of fire, road crashes, chemical incidents and other emergencies. We are a team of approximately 1,300 operational personnel and corporate professionals serving the Community across 20 metropolitan and 17 regional fire stations.
About the role
The Human Resources (HR) Support Officer assists with a range of human resource related projects and operational activities within the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS).
About you

Qualification in Human Resources or other related disciplines (desirable).
Ability to identify and analyse problems, exercise sound judgement and formulate clear and effective solutions.
Ability to work autonomously and take direction.
Organisational and time management skills.
Research skills and interpret regulations, guidelines and/or instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally to all levels of staff.
Ability to exercise initiative.
Ability to work as a member of a team and contribute to a spirit of team cooperation.
Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Excel and Word.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
General knowledge of personnel management principles under the Public Sector Act, Work Health & Safety Act, and the Equal Opportunity Act.
General knowledge of MFS organisational structure.
Knowledge of MFS functions and activities.

Remuneration:
ASO3
$67,589 - $72,033

Special Conditions:
Engagement will be subject to a satisfactory Emergency Services Sector Criminal History Check. For all special conditions, please refer to the Role Description.
