What You'll Do: Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, you will:
Provide key HR administrative support to the HR team.
Assist with HR consultations to address internal stakeholder queries.
Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including writing job ads, sourcing candidates, phone screening, and conducting police and reference checks.
Interpret modern awards, enterprise agreements, and individual agreements.
Ensure accurate communication and data flow between payroll, HR, and other departments.
Collaborate with the HR team on projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Role Details: Location: This position is based in Barcaldine with regional work and travel as required. Classification Level: Level 6.1 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award - State 2017, and the Barcaldine Regional Council Certified Agreement 2022. Wage: Minimum base salary of $84,438.64 per annum + Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances. Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly. Hours of work: 72.5 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off every fortnight. Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum + 17.5% loading. Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum. Tertiary qualification in HRM (preferred).
Strong communication and influencing skills.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure, handle and prioritise multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
