The Position We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As a growing and successful hospitality group, the ideal candidate will be comfortable with all aspects of human resources service delivery and work closely with internal departments to provide effective HR advisory support, performance management and oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes.
This key focus areas of this role include:
Provide timely, accurate and high-quality advice and generalist HR support on employment matters
Coordinate the employee life cycle process including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, termination and cessation process
Provide input into our people initiatives that foster a collaborative and supportive culture, including reward and recognition programs
Effectively facilitate the performance management and staff appraisal system providing advice and support with development to employees and leaders across the organisation
Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and competencies
Ensure HR practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including updating and maintain HR policies and procedures based on relevant legislation, organisational needs and best practice HR principles
Investigation of employee grievances, complaints and disciplinary processes and recommend appropriate actions
Analyse available people data and reports in order to make recommendations to improve processes
Play a proactive part in various HR projects to deliver outcomes aimed at fostering a high-performance culture
The successful applicant will have:
Experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment
Experience in the interpretation and application of relevant HR legislation
Demonstrated experience in the effective delivery of people advice and strong business partner orientation
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, think innovatively and recommend strategies, ideas and opportunities for resolution
Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate insights from HR metrics to inform business decision making
Ability to show initiative, strong resilience, be open minded and able to support the business where required
Demonstrated experience in providing support, recommendations and strategies for the management and resolution of employee relations issues
Excellent emotional intelligence, demonstrated by an ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships at all levels
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
Excellent attention to detail and have a high standard of verbal & written communication
Proficient with MS Office (Word and Excel)
Tertiary qualifications in HR are preferred although equivalent industry experience will also be considered
