Job description We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic home care Support Worker & Office Assistant to join our team. This dual role involves providing high-quality care to elderly clients while supporting the office team with essential administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about enhancing the lives of older individuals, promoting their independence, and ensuring compliance with Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards. Caregiver needed for domestic care, personal care, and social support. Job Types: Casual with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates. Salary: $38 – $42 per hour Hours: 30-35 hours per week Duties and responsibilities: Aged Support:
Support with daily activities to foster independence and well-being
Build and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families
Empower clients to live independently and with dignity
Effectively manage challenging situations in line with Perl Home Care’s policies
Collaborate with the care team to support clients with complex needs
Office Assistance: Assist the Care Coordinator with various administrative tasks, including:
Answering phone calls and emails
Managing schedules and appointments
Supporting rostering and ensuring smooth office operations
Record-keeping and data entry as required
Performing additional tasks as directed by the Care Coordinator
Knowledge / experience/ attributes: The successful candidates should possess, but not limited to, the following:
Motivation and commitment to caring for the elderly and/or people with disability who may have challenging behaviour
A positive and enthusiastic approach to managing challenging situations
Certificate III in Aged Care / Certificate IV in Home and Community Care or equivalent
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Evidence of good team building and interpersonal skills
Basic computer knowledge or skills
Current driver’s license, good driving record
A reliable car with comprehensive car insurance
Smart Phone with internet access
National Police Clearance
Flu vaccination
Strategic thinking with the ability to implement solutions for client care
Commitment to delivering high-quality care that meets Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission standards
Requirements:
Experience in aged care or a similar support role is desirable
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Availability to work within the hours of 9 AM – 5 PM, Monday to Friday
