Your new role- Warehouse Team Lead
- Ensure that Piece Checking is done in timely manner and within KPI’s stipulated in contract with Client
- Ensure that Piece Checking team is functioning well and coordinates rotation of the staff to ensure coverage of required work and assist where necessary
- Ensures that Piece Checking Team follows and adheres to the Standard Operating Procedures for cargo handling
- Ensures that Warehouse Packing team complies with packing requirements and that team provides Container manifest as quickly as possible to Shipping and Documentation Team.
- Ensures that Warehouse Team completes required sections of MO41 and provide copies in timely manner to Transport Provider and Shipping and Documentation Team,
- Ensures that warehouse Packing Team complies with IMDG container packing requirements
- Invoicing and accounting for the warehouse activities
- Maintain Warehouse KPI and performance reporting
- Ensures orders and maintains stock levels of consumables required by the Piece Checking Team to perform their job
- Coordinate and assist with any container and vessel requirement e.g. scheduling of deliveries, late receivals etc. with the Shipping and Documentation team.
- Ensuring sufficient and right resources in the operational team.
- Warehouse Team Lead experience
- Diploma or First Degree
- 5+ years International Logistics experience
- Strong negotiation skills
- Trustworthy, dependable, and committed
- Strong skills in delegation and empowering teams
- Well-established decision-making expertise
- Skilled in representing the company across various levels and fostering solid client relationships
- Innovative thinker with a creative approach
- Dedicated and passionate professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Able to travel nationally and internationally and safely navigate operational or construction sites.
