Midnight Hotel Canberra's first ever Marriott International’s Autograph Collection is currently seeking a Food & Beverage Attendant - Dinner Service (Casual, potential to be part-time) to join our Food & Beverage team. At Midnight, we pride ourselves on delivering a highly personalised and unique guest experience. Therefore, you will play an important role in our team by demonstrating your confidence and rich food and wine knowledge and service to our guests. The roles will be based on a rotating roster, with shifts commencing between mid-afternoon approx. 15:00 or 17:00 until approximately 23:00 or slightly later, depending on demand. The Role You will play a pivotal role in our Midnight experience by:
Providing a dynamic, warm and engaging welcome and service experience.
Demonstrating your knowledge in food and wine.
Providing food recommendations and pairings.
Ability to be adaptive and work in a fast paced environment.
Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
Maintaining the cleanliness, stock levels and presentation of the location.
Collaborate with other colleagues, including kitchen and bar.
Work closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create an exceptional dining experience.
What we need from you:
A minimum of 6 months to 1 years à La Carte dining experience is essential, including a practical demonstration of your sequence of service knowledge.
Strong knowledge with previous experience in wine pairing and recommendations is desired.
Willingness to develop and grow your Food & Beverage knowledge and career.
Exceptional service skill in creating a unique guest experience is essential.
Dynamic, vibrant, confident and immaculately presented personality.
A genuine passion for hospitality, food and wine.
Exceptional service skills and guest focus.
Highly adaptable and able to perform during high-pressure service periods.
Superior communication skills and detail orientated.
High standard of personal presentation.
A current ACT Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.
The flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
