We are currently looking for a friendly and professional Food and Beverage Attendant to join our team and help maintain our high standards of service.
Position Overview
As a Food and Beverage Attendant at Maylands Lodge, you will be responsible for providing high-quality service to guests in our dining areas, ensuring an exceptional experience from start to finish. You will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain a welcoming and efficient environment. Your role will include taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring all guest needs are met with professionalism and warmth.
Key Responsibilities

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring high standards of presentation.
Provide knowledgeable advice on menu items, including wine and beverage pairings.
Ensure dining areas are clean, well-presented, and prepared for service.
Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and functions when required.
Process payments and handle cash/credit transactions efficiently.
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Address guest inquiries and requests with courtesy, ensuring their satisfaction.
Collaborate with kitchen and other staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of Maylands Lodge’s offerings, including special events and promotions.

Qualifications & Skills Required

Previous experience in a similar food and beverage or hospitality role is preferred.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently as required.
Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate preferred or willingness to obtain.
