About the role
The Educational Program Lead, as the dedicated Educational Leader, develops and delivers high-quality educational programs for OOSH sites, including term and Vacation Care. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with the National Quality Framework, My Time Our Place, and NSW Department of Education Curriculum. Using a strengths-based approach and play-based learning, the Lead ensures programs are engaging and suitable for children of all developmental stages, ages, and abilities.
We are looking for several Educational Program Leads to work closely with our teams.
Programming Excellence
Design, implement, and delivery innovative and context-specific educational programs for OOSH sites.
Ensure that children’s learning and development are guided by the learning outcomes of the approved learning frameworks
Develop term-based and Vacation Care programs to drive attendance and service quality.
Promote an inclusive space that welcomes diverse children and families.
Creation of new formats, ideas, templates or resources as required
Evaluate program effectiveness and engagement through continuous improvement practices, incorporating feedback from children and families.
Engagement
Actively engage children and maintain appropriate supervision ratios to ensure children’s safety and wellbeing; redirect positively as necessary
Support and mentor emerging program facilitators, educators, and co-facilitators.
Involve children and families in the co-creation of programs, fostering a strengths-based and collaborative learning environment.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with service policies and relevant legislation, supporting other educators to do the same.
Manage programming budgets, resources, and stakeholder relationships in consultation with the Nominated Supervisor
Understand, role model, and be guided by positive behaviour guidance policy, assisting children to develop such skills
Act as a Responsible Person in the absence of the Nominated Supervisor and at other OOSH services as delegated.
About You
Experience working in a 2IC or Leadership role within a school, aged care and/or education centre strongly desired
Experience in program planning, delivery, facilitation, and evaluation
You have a Diploma or Certificate IV Children’s Services, OOSH, Recreation; or Degree or Diploma Primary Teaching
You have First Aid, Asthma, Anaphylaxis management certification
Experience as an educator, program facilitator or like role in an Education setting
Strong knowledge of the NQF, Child Safe Standards, My Time Our Place
