The role may involve:
Assistance with community access and recreational activities Personal care (showering, toileting, and personal hygiene assistance) Manual handling and/or the use of equipment to support mobility (wheelchairs or hoists) Transportation and supporting social engagement Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
Our ideal candidate will have:
Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours Experience using a Hoist, PEG Feeding, or with Epilepsy Management Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to Hearth
Essential criteria:
An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with vulnerable people card Current police verification The legal right to work in Australia Excellent communication skills A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities
