Regulatory Design and Practice Consultant/Advisor

The Proximity Consulting group provides astute advice and solutions on some of the most interesting and complex work in Commonwealth government programs and projects. As part of our Regulatory Design and Practice team you will work closely with regulators to design, deliver, evaluate and improve their service offer across the full regulatory lifecycle.

Some of the responsibilities could include:
Interpreting and mapping legislation
Designing and coordinating regulatory and compliance frameworks
Undertaking business process mapping to design, develop or improve regulatory processes
Undertaking reviews of delegations, governance, regulatory landscape, or enforcement capability
Designing and implementing risk-based approaches
Monitoring and reporting on compliance and enforcement activities
Drafting client reports, briefings, policies, and procedures

To succeed in this role, you will need:
2+ years’ experience, preferably within a government or consulting environment
Demonstrated experience across the regulatory lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
Strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills
Desire to work closely with clients, being adaptable and responsive
Legal degree (BLaws or Juris Doctor), or close to completing your degree
Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
