Your opportunity
The Clinical Nurse Consultant provides advanced practice level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused and recovery focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff within the Greater Whitsunday Mental Health and AOD Service.
Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health case management services to mental adult clients with a severe or moderate mental illness/disorder and/or substance abuse issue. Case management will include triage, assessment, intervention and treatment in accordance with professional standards and legislation (Queensland Mental Health act 2016; State and National Plans and Policies).
About the Team
This position is part of the Greater Whitsunday Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service and involves providing mental health and AOD services to outreach sites of the Whitsunday region including Airlie Beach, Cannonvale, Bowen and Collinsville. The position is based at Proserpine Hospital. There is the expectation that successful applicant would travel to Mackay for training as required.
