Clinical Assistant (Radiology)

The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Clinical Assistants (Radiology) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will

Provide direct assistance to Radiography staff for preparation and direction of patients
Perform or assist with patient manual handling duties including escorting of patients
Undertake or assist with the cleaning and changing of patients clothes and soiled linens
Organise, under guidance, patient, room and equipment -set-ups for non-invasive imaging examinations

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

Vocational Education and Training qualification or equivalent and must be relevant to the role
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

Permanent full time (two positions)
Base salary ranging from $68 471 - $71 983 per annum

The Medical Imaging delivers a wide range of diagnostic imaging and interventional services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS). The service provides a Level 6 Medical Imaging service at Southport (Gold Coast University Hospital) and a Level 4 service at Robina.
