This position works within CRCS’s Aged Care program and is responsible for supporting older people who meet the criteria of the Commonwealth Home Support Program and Home Care Package programs. The program is inclusive and provides opportunities for participants to be as independent as possible. Assistance required relates to all tasks associated with Domestic Assistance including but not limited to:
house cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting) • clothes washing and ironing • dishwashing • sweeping verandas • Cleaning of bathrooms & toilets • washing of household linen • shopping (unaccompanied) • bill paying (unaccompanied) • meal preparation
Description:
Essential qualifications, skills and experience
First Aid Certificate
Completed or working towards Certificate Ill in Individual Support (Ageing)
Relevant experience / on-the-job training commensurate with the requirements of work in this level
Ability to undertake physical activities relevant to the duties mentioned above, including but not limited to lifting and bending
Current driver's and access to a road worthy and comprehensively insured vehicle is compulsory
