About the Role The Catering Assistant assists in the provision of a high quality food & beverage service by undertaking responsibility and duties additional to the level 1 tasks in specific areas of the service including the salad and sandwich area, the preparation of hot breakfast items, ingredients and stores control, opening and securing of an area, cashiering and the meal service (including updating of meal lists or reheating of frozen food. The Catering Assistant (Deliveries) is responsible to drive the Food Service (Fleet SA) Vehicle to external sites delivering foods prepared by TQEH Food Services, dry goods, chilled goods, frozen goods, stationary stock items and chemicals. Maintain records that are required for TQEH Food safety plan, legislation and vehicle logbook. Assists in the provision of a high quality food & beverage service by undertaking responsibility and duties additional to the level 1 tasks in specific areas of the service including, but not limited to, the salad and sandwich area, the preparation of hot breakfast items, ingredients and stores control, opening and securing of an area, cashiering and the meal service.
