As an Educator, you will work closely alongside the Director and entire team, to provide for the education and care needs of the children and families accessing this service. Delivering quality care and education, while upholding the Centre's philosophy and best practice policies and procedures are at the forefront of your decision making, all while committing to continuous improvement and innovation.
Description:
To be successful, you will have:
- Qualification in Education and Care or working towards completing this course.
- First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training.
- Food Safety, Handling and Hygiene training.
- Ability to engage children in activities which are responsive and tailored to their interests and abilities.
- Ability to develop appropriate and sustained relationships with children.
- Demonstrated awareness of the rights of the child.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated awareness of mandatory reporting obligations.
- Ability to follow directions and undertake tasks at all levels.
Skills and Experiences:
CRCS also requires all employees to:
- Hold or be willing to obtain a satisfactory Working with Vulnerable People registration (ACT) and/or a Working with Children Check (NSW), and have these with them at all times whilst employed by CRCS.
- Undertake a National Criminal History Clearance by CRCS prior to commencing and every three years thereafter as a condition of employment. Employees are required to advise CRCS of any convictions that may effect their eligibility to work or perform the inherent requirements of their position
