How will I help?
The primary role is to support the Facilities Management team in managing the building assets & planning maintenance activities for a tier 3 data centre. It involves managing all contracts and leading tender processes when required. You must have a thorough knowledge, understanding & adherence to safety systems & regulations.
- Schedule Preventative Maintenance and communicate to all relevant personnel
- Prepare and manage CAPEX and OPEX spending programmes
- Manage-ongoing preventative maintenance programmes and implement preventative maintenance programmes for new assets
- Provide Asset Management reporting to meet contractual obligations
- Maintain an accurate register of all assets and equipment utilising JDE Enterprise One Software
- Develop and manage lifecycle programs
- Co-ordinate with the Operations Manager with regard to all preventative maintenance programmes, lifecycle programmes, budgets and asset management programmes
- Develop a comprehensive maintenance plan and schedule for all assets
- Advanced MS Word/Excel/Outlook proficiency
As this role also requires you to back up the 24 x 7 Facilities Managers in their operations roles and also act in the Operations Manager role at times, you must have excellent electrical & HVAC knowledge, understand the control & operational complexities of the building in detail, and be able to operate all building systems including, Diesel Generator, UPS, STS, BMS, Fire, Chiller, HVAC plant & numerous other systems. You must be self-motivated, have excellent fault finding ability, be able to operate under pressure, adhere to process & be able to carry out complex switching and operate critical building infrastructure.
This is a 24 x 7 shift worker role working in a critical tier 3 data centre as part of an operations team that is dedicated to our clients' success. This is a hands on role that requires an electrical or HVAC tradesperson who must possess excellent electrical & HVAC knowledge as well as having a broad understanding of & the ability to operate all building systems including, Diesel Generator, UPS, STS, BMS, Fire, Chiller, HVAC plant & numerous other systems. You must be self-motivated, have excellent fault finding ability, be able to operate under pressure, adhere to process & be able to carry out complex switching and operate critical building infrastructure. You are required to manage all contractors onsite, including isolation of services to create a safe work environment using strict lockout / tagout procedures. You must have a thorough knowledge, understanding & adherence to safety systems & regulations. You must be competent in Microsoft office suite as the role involves reporting and process development.

What do I need?
To be successful in the role, you must be customer focussed, self-motivated, have excellent communications skills, high attention to detail and adhere to strict process. You will also possess:
- Electrical or HVAC trade qualifications
- Ability to operate under pressure
- Data centre experience or working in critical environments
- A thorough knowledge, understanding of and adherence to safety systems and regulations
- Good computer skills & competence in Microsoft Office suite of products
