The Role
The Infrastructure & Accommodation APS 6 Accommodation Manager seeks to aide a high-performing team representing the personnel, infrastructure & accommodation requirements of Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) and Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Groups respectively.
The position will be working with personnel of all levels and ranks across multiple business units within and external to CASG.
About our Team
CASG Infrastructure & Accommodation is the key internal point of contact to provide support, guidance and knowledge for Infrastructure and Accommodation. Under Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with NSSG and GWEO, the team provide infrastructure & accommodation services for CASG, NSSG and GWEO personnel.
There are three main focus areas for the team:
- Strategic Estate Planning (including development of Estate Investment Requirements (EIR) and their progression through prioritisation assessments to funding sources and delivery pathway.
- Facilities & Infrastructure (including liaison with CASG Security on physical security requirements)
- Base Services. The team serve as the CASG, GWEO and NSSG Divisional Accommodation Coordinator (DAC), internally managing office accommodation while implementing and promoting recommendations from the First Principles Review and the goals of the National Accommodation Master Plan.
The use of office accommodation continues to evolve post-Covid with a shift in utilisation and ways of working through capturing support to capability, diversity and work/life balance based on functional requirements.
The team manages CASG’s Tender Evaluation Suites (TES), providing access to environments designed for conducting intensive tender evaluations for major capital equipment acquisitions, and large minor capital equipment, services and works.
