The company is located in Manly, NSW area and we are conducting a search for a dedicated and skilled Animal Attendants and Trainers. Current Opening: This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week). Position Responsibilities and Tasks: Provide daily care and attention to animals under their supervision. Ensure animals are fed, watered and exercised according to their individual needs. Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to appropriate personnel. Perform grooming tasks such as bathing, brushing and trimming animals' fur as required. Clean and sanitise grooming tools and equipment to maintain a hygienic environment. Assist with nail trimming, ear cleaning and dental care as necessary to promote overall health Assist with nail trimming, ear cleaning and dental care as necessary to promote overall health and well-being. Work with animals to reinforce desired behaviours and discourage undesirable ones. Provide support during training sessions and classes to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the program. Interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner, addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Provide information and guidance on animal care, grooming and training techniques to clients. Qualifications and Skills: AQF Certificate III, AQF Certificate IV or relevant qualifications A minimum of three years' experience in a similar role. A genuine love for animals and a strong desire to work with them is essential. The role may involve lifting, restraining and handling animals of varying sizes and temperaments, so good physical health and strength are important. Effective communication with both colleagues and clients is essential. Working with animals requires patience, understanding and empathy. The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations is crucial. Being observant and attentive to the needs and behaviours of animals is important for providing appropriate care and identifying any potential issues.
