About the Role This role provides financial support to a group of parks within the wider G’day portfolio with a key focus on undertaking bank and other balance sheet reconciliations in addition to financial support. You will work collaboratively with the broader Accounts Officer team, stakeholders both in the Adelaide Office and remotely with designated parks based across Australia. As the business continues to grow, the successful applicant will ensure that reconciliations are completed accurately and in a timely manner. You will support the finance team in ensuring standardised processes are rolled out across new acquisitions and that technology is leveraged to ensure processes are efficient and repeatable. Responsibilities of the role include:
Bank and other balance sheet reconciliations: The Accounts Officer is responsible for reconciling bank statements for multiple parks and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Completeness of revenue: Ensuring revenue generated at each site is captured in the source systems and is accurately recorded in the accounting general ledger system. It may include preparing or reviewing journal entries for various financial transactions.
Educating and ensuring completion of end-of-day financial procedures by parks: This involves providing guidance and training to ensure that end-of-day financial procedures are completed accurately and in a timely manner at each site.
Assisting parks with invoicing, receipting and debtor management processes where needed.
Assisting park staff with ad hoc financial queries: Providing support to park staff by addressing their financial-related questions and concerns as they arise.
Assisting with customer queries that are financial in nature
Skills & Experience
A strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping principles is essential.
The candidate should be proactive in identifying and solving accounting issues, and approachable and helpful in responding to park queries
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach to managing workload and tasks are essential for success in this role.
Experience using Portfolio Management Systems (PMS): Familiarity with Portfolio Management Systems such as RMS or Newbook is desirable.
The candidate should be proficient in using accounting software
