Your Team, Your Impact
The FV and QA Engineer will be part of a team responsible for validating high-speed transceiver ASICs for coherent optical communications. The team develops software validation platforms, performs post-silicon validation of hardware and firmware components of the ASIC, develops and documents user interfaces for customers, and provides technical support to Marketing, Applications, and customers.
The FV and QA Engineer will be immersed in digital design and optical systems environments and work alongside systems, digital design, firmware, and optical engineers to ensure transceivers meet the specifications and customer expectations.
What You Can Expect
As a Post Silicon Validation Engineer, you will:
- Write embedded applications in C and C++ to implement tests that will run on a microprocessor sitting on a test platform
- Write scripts in Python to automate simulations and lab measurements. Lab measurement scripts will control hardware evaluation platforms as well as electrical and optical equipment
- Plan and execute hardware validation test plans in an optical-systems laboratory
- Plan and implement automated regression tests in Python to validate firmware components in real applications
- Plan and write Application Programming Interfaces components in C and C++ for customer use
- Write and run simulations in System Verilog using UVM components
- Write documentation in English for internal and external customers
- Analyze compatibility of firmware and hardware components to several Standards
What We're Looking For
- Engineer´s degree in electronics, computer science, or telecommunications.
- Proven experience in C, C++, and/or Python programming.
- Excellent communication skills in Spanish (verbal and written).
- Good communication skills in English (verbal and written).
- Be flexible, and efficient at working on different assignments at the same time, and willing to work under pressure.
- Experience in embedded software development, and optics.
