Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to manage insurance billing and claims processing for our therapy services. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Excel/Google Sheets and a strong understanding of US healthcare systems. This role involves working closely with insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, submit, and track medical claims
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, and manage re-submissions
- Reconcile accounts, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure accurate payment processing
- Stay current with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA compliance and payer policies
- Ensure accurate coding and billing practices
- Collaborate with ABA providers to ensure proper coding and billing practices.
- Generate and review billing reports, monitor collections, and maintain records in spreadsheets
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal communication)
- Proficient in spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets)
- In-depth knowledge of US healthcare systems, insurance billing, and medical coding, especially for ABA services
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Ability to accommodate overlapping hours with Pacific Standard Time
