Adecco Group - Human Resource Manager - Puerto Rico

About the role The Manager, HR Business Partner reports directly to the Director, Human Resources Business Partner. Will interacts with Colleagues and Adecco Group management to provide Human resources partnering through effective service delivery. Uses his/her HR expertise to ensure the implementation of effective business strategies. Serves as the Colleagues’ Diversity champion by ensuring a balance between Company needs and employee requirements.
What you’ll be doing
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Partnering:
  • Works as a business partner or consultant, developing strong business relationships with Colleagues and management.
  • Pro-actively contributes to the development of the Company’s business plan and objectives.
  • Links Human Resources policies and programs to the Company’s objectives.
  • Participates in activities requested by the Company.
Human Resources Leadership:
  • Liaises with Legal, Risk Management, and Compliance to resolve escalated legal and high-risk issues.
  • Advises and assists internal clients with interpretation and application of policies and procedures, coaching, legal compliance, employee complaints, disciplinary and termination issues.
  • Attends matters when necessary, with the Department of Labor, Court processes that can be requested or any others.
  • Travels to field and corporate sites to present new programs and address business needs.
Colleague Diversity Champion:
  • Acts as a primary resource for Colleagues and management by building trust and fostering productive relationships.
  • Solves conflicts in the workplace. Listens to issues, brainstorms solutions, proposes solutions, and follows up to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Interacts with colleagues in a way that demonstrates customer’s concerns and problems are heard and resolved proactively to build confidence and trust.
  • Maintains confidentiality by discussing issues only with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Acts as a role model and encourages others regarding Company’s values.
  • Conducts ongoing Diversity Training for all Colleagues.
  • Works activities for employees that are established by the Company
Technical Expertise:
  • Applies expertise in all aspects of Human Resources to support the Company’s mission and business needs.
  • Ensures optimal solutions and actions are taken for the good of the business.
  • Provides HR technical and interpersonal expertise for various company initiatives.
  • Payroll processes, implementation and assistance when needed. All colleagues must get paid on time and established by the Company.
  • Applies expertise with Health and Dental providers and the implementation of Cobra Law
  • Applies expertise and implementation of 401K
  • Applies the salary structures process to be verified by the Regional Vice President
  • Succession plan process and training policy
  • Works with the associate and colleague employee manual and its implementation
  • Responsible for the Group Policy and its implementations
  • Responsible for qualifying candidates for interviews with managers for internal positions
Change Champion:
  • Implements new programs to support the needs of the company utilizing innovative strategies and principles of organizational development.
  • Coordinates HR initiatives with other departments and teams.
  • Manages and participates in the development of program materials, communication vehicles, presentation and implementation of programs.
  • Partners with HR experts to apply innovative strategies to various personnel and HR business issues.

Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
This or any task assigned by the Company.
About you MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in HR management, business, or the equivalent plus a minimum of five to seven years Human Resources experience including at least three years of management experience in a multi-site service industry generally required.
Broad knowledge of Human Resources, policy development and related laws and regulations required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, business acumen, project and employee management skills and the interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team environment also required.
Ability to travel on a regular basis also required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
  • Able to set own priorities, schedule day’s events, make cold calls, prepare and give formal presentations.
  • Must have working knowledge of labor and employment laws.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and able to handle multiple problems simultaneously
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Able to communicate effectively and clearly in writing and orally, both in one-on-one and in group presentation situations.
