Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Product Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.

5 years of experience in product quality development or manufacturing engineering, and best practices within mobile or consumer electronics products.
- Experience in Product Quality Control System, Six Sigma, JMP, tolerance study, and cosmetic criteria/inspections.
Preferred qualifications:

3 years of experience in a Product Quality Engineer, Pixel Phone position, or equivalent experience.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google's powerful search technology. As a Product Quality Engineer, you will evaluate the product designs and create the quality processes, tools, and procedures to help continuously improve the customer experience by improving product quality at the manufacturing site. You will work very closely with Product Management, Product Design, System Engineering, Product Operations, and Supply Chain teams.

Responsibilities
- Define and implement Phone Product Cosmetic Specifications and design Final Assembly Test Process (FATP) Quality Cosmetic Station Inspection Plan ensuring specifications are met.
- Lead and drive Material Functional, Dimensional, and Cosmetic Quality Excellence via designing Quality Engineering management as well as Capital Equipment budgeting function, dimension, and cosmetic control.

Manage and address supplier quality issue escalation, issues Failure Analysis (FA), Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) from First Article Inspection (FAI), Outgoing Quality Control (OQC), and On-Going Reliability (ORT), yield fallouts, customer complaints, and field failures, during NPI/MP (Mass Production) phases.

Align Contract Manufacturer (CM) Incoming Quality control (IQC) with Mechanical parts Supplier OQC plans and measurement techniques.
- Participate in Design for Quality (DFQ) review with Design/Manufacturing Partners, including Mechanical/Module Supplier Development Engineering (SDE).
