Job Purpose

Primarily accountable for leading ESG initiative in CIBG which include but is not limited to formulation and execution of ESG strategy for CIBG customers to contribute to achieving financial and non-financial targets of Economic sectors. Oversee ESG framework, library & action plans to deliver targets at CIBG & will be CIBG's contact point for ESG transformation at TCB.

Key Accountabilities (1)

1. Formulation ESG strategy:

• Understand implication of ESG regulations locally and internationally on risk and opportunities for clients in each prioritized industry

• Proactively assess, analyze regulatory trend in Vientam and internationally and give requirement to research team and sector team to identify ESG growth opportunities and challenges in the 6 economic sectors to prioritise ESG industries which CIBG will focus on creating value to clients

• Development framework to collect ESG data and standardize internal and external reports

• Coordinate with sector team to develop an ESG strategic plan and bussiness execution plan for focus industries

• Lead and monitor the development of diferentiated ESG CVPs and offering roadmap for chosen industries

Key Accountabilities (2)

2. Execution ESG strategy:

• Engage clients, DFIs (e.g. IFC, ADB), FI, consultants to understand/ validate painpoints/ opportunities/ implication of ESG on clients in chosen sectors/industries

• Develop CVPs/ offering roadmap that address ESG needs/ painpoints for clients in prioritized industries

• Develop and embed ESG assessment framework in client opportunities and risk analysis

• Design green financing tools and solutions (green loan, blended lending solutions, green bond, green trade financing, carbon Credit platform, green financing advisory)

• Understanding funding options, compare pros and cons of each option to TCB and clients based on assessment of accessibility, cost and execution complexity

• Develop financial plan for each focus industry

• Represent CIBG to give requirements/ work with product partners and external partners to build ESG and advisory capabilities

• Short list clients to pilot financing products and tools

• Analyse indicators and develop ESG reporting. Evaluates effectiveness of the client's ESG program, including driving improvement in the client's ratings as measured by ESG standards, frameworks, and raters

Key Accountabilities (3)

3. Develop ESG capabilities:

• Coordinate with L&D to create a learning roadmap to uplift ESG assessment capabilities in risk assessment and business opportunity identification and also regulatory compliance. Proactively initiate actions, follow up within CIBG and outside CIBG to ensure execution meet and exceed ESG plan (both financial and non-financial metrics)

• Develop thought leadership capabilities to promote ESG standards internally and externally

4. People management:

• Supervise the formulation and implementation of resource plans (allocation & costs) at the unit.

• Attract, receive and retain talent in accordance with the organizational culture.

• Establish and communicate function and individual KRAs/ KPIs, goals, action plan, expectations and results to reporting line.

• Manage function performance & provide feedback regularly (following the annual performance management cycle).

• Define team’s capability requirements and enable team member’s professional and personal development through capability assessment, training, coaching & feedback, mentoring, etc.

• Motivate and recognize team members’ contributions towards the team’s shared goals.

• Responsible for talent development at the unit.

• Act as a role model and promote corporate culture at function level.

• Understand & communicate relevant HR offerings to team members.

Success Profile - Qualification and Experiences

Degree: University degree in Foreign Trade / Economics / Finance / Banking / Environmental Science. Master degree is preferred
Experience: At least 12+ years of working experience in the fields related to the environment, society and governance such as environmental protection, corporate social responsibility, sustainable development, risk management or project management consulting. Have at least 06 years of working experience to the role of manager.
Foreign language (English): TOEIC minimum 650 or other equivalent certificates (IELTS, TOEFL,...)
