Vascular/Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Ambulatory Medical Practices MSO, Inc. (AMP), for Columbia Doctors, has an exciting opportunity for a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team. We are a well-established, premier multi-specialty group offering a full range of services at practice locations throughout Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties. This is a Full-Time position, specializing in Vascular and Cardiology Medicine. AMP is a Management Service Organization (MSO) that provides administrative and clinical support Columbia Doctors non-provider staff. Columbia Doctors is one of the largest multi-specialty practices in New York State, comprised of an experienced group of physicians specializing in Cardiology, Vascular Disease, Internal Medicine, Obesity, Podiatry, Gastroenterology, and Endocrinology. We are a large group with over 60 Columbia Providers and offices in Westchester, Rockland, and Orange Counties. Job Summary Under the direction of Columbia Doctors Medical Group, the incumbent will be responsible for the autonomous assessment and management of vascular and cardiac patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions under a medical collaborative agreement. The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will complete patient's history and physical exams, review laboratory results and order appropriate tests, provide instructions, patient education and monitor follow-up appointments. The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will obtain consents, develop care plans for patients; document history, orders, notes and ongoing evaluation of patients; assure quality of care and standards are maintained; serve as liaison to collaborating and referring physicians and external transfers; assist physicians with related duties as directed and perform other tasks as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Current NYS RN and NP or PA Licensure
Holds Master’s Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
BCLS Certification
ACLS Certification, preferred
At least 2 years of advanced practice acute care/hospital experience
Experience in Vascular and Cardiology Medicine, Preferred
Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills required.
