Required Education/Experience
Under direct supervision to perform duties required in the installation, maintenance, replacement and operation of underground electric transmission and distribution facilities, assist in the installation of electric cables, conduits, enclosures, services and equipment such as: transformers, streetlights, switches, splices, terminations, potheads, and associated equipment. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
- Perform low voltage work in meter pans attendant with trouble response, maintenance or new service installations.
- Operate instruments, tools, tractor-type trenching and backfilling equipment, and boom equipment required in underground work of all types.
- Perform related or less skilled work as assigned.
- Perform all duties in accordance with Company Safety Rules and Good Housekeeping practices.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Must have the aptitude for this type of work. Required
- Must have a valid license to operate the necessary equipment. Must have completed basic skills school or equivalent training. Required
- Each applicant will be required to successfully complete a management/Union developed and validated test and physical conditioning test prior to being accepted to the position. Required
- Must be in sound physical condition. Required
- This position is subject to drug and alcohol testing as required by the Department of Transportation. Required
- Driver's License Required
