Traveling Field Technician - Injection molding machines
If you are an expert in the Plastic injection molding field and love to be on the road, this opportunity is for you! The field service technicians are home based, required to travel to customer sites in their region or nationally and are eligible for a company vehicle. Satisfactory driver's motor vehicle record required. Areas needed:
NORTH US & CANADA

Dallas Texas – have 2 openings coming through approval process Atlanta, Georgia (1 opening) Charlotte, North Carolina (1 Opening) Louisiana /Mississippi area You will be responsible to perform all the activities required to provide technical support to internal/external customers; set up, maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and repair injection molding systems. You will be working collaboratively with the call center, spare parts, & customers directly to diagnose issues. This position requires extensive travel (90%) local regional travel (Monday – Friday) in addition possible 10% North American travel, meaning the field service technician could spend one full week on-site (Regional & National). Some weekend work will be required. TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with new and evolving technologies
Strong electrical background and mechanically inclined.
Good organizational skills and ability to work independently, interact effectively and professionally with customers
Ability to interface effectively across manufacturing, engineering, sales and service functions
Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills to obtain and exchange complex technical information
Good computer skills and operation knowledge of Windows based applications
Additional language other than English would be considered an asset
Strong problem resolution skills with a proven ability to think outside of the box
Positive attitude and work ethic
Energetic
Ability to write a detailed report
Flexible to travel to Canada
Qualifications
Minimum 2 year Technical Associates degree/diploma
Experience with Husky equipment and/or injection molding including assembly, testing, service and engineering with all Husky products including machines, molds, robots and other product handling equipment would be an asset
Mechanical
Minimum 2 year Technical Associates degree/diploma
5+ years injection molding experience, maintenance, and/or repair preferred
2+ years as a process technician within the plastics machinery atmosphere
Experience with injection molding including assembly, testing, service and engineering including machines, molds, robots and other product handling equipment would be an asset
strong mechanical aptitude
Must be able to travel, and stand on feet for longer periods of time
