Third Party Billing and DME Retail Specialist
Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Billing Specialist and Retail Support to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in customer care and managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, as well as the ability to work effectively within a medical office environment.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.02 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week

This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, as well as the ability to work effectively within a medical office environment.
Duties
- Supporting Retail in store, phone and internet orders.
- Process and manage patient invoicing accurately and efficiently.
- Utilize medical coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9, to ensure proper coding of diagnoses and procedures.
- Review medical records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all necessary information is captured for billing purposes.
- Maintain knowledge of DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to clarify billing issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in the development of billing policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Excellent Communication knowledge or desire to learn in Durable Medical Equipment
- Proven experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical office operations.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for reviewing records and resolving issues.
- Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and insurance companies.
- Proficient in using billing software and other relevant computer applications.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus but not required.
