Job Purpose
The primary purpose of this position is for the RN to evaluate nursing practices within the facility to help maximize efficiency and optimize resident care.
Position Summary:
Suggesting and implementing changes
Training nurses on new procedures
Ensuring all State and Federal requirements are followed
Develop, direct, coordinate, and implement nursing and staff educational programs including:
Mandatory new-hire orientation for all new staff and Concise orientation for temporary personnel
Orientation programs for all new nursing department staff
Skills training for nursing staff
Continuing education programs
Oversees annual competencies for all staff through My Path
Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement program- Responsible for the QAPI program including oversight, facilitating and leading the Quality Assurance Committee, developing QAPI meeting schedules, QA audits, PIP programs and ensuring compliance.
Qualifications: Minimum AAS Nursing degree, required and BSN preferred. Current valid New York State RN License. one-year experience in Long Term Care; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay Range: $79,040-$118,000 annually
