Job Title: Skilled Trades Talent Acquisition Partner
Location: Shared Services Office, Irving, TX
Reports to: VP, Talent Acquisition
FLSA Status: Exempt
The Opportunity:
You will leverage your industrial market knowledge and recruiting expertise to partner across Meriton and all operating companies to hire exceptional talent and provide the best-in-class services. The selected candidate will have expertise in skilled trades / HVAC and is responsible for full life cycle recruiting by using creative sourcing methods and collaborating with the TA team and business leaders across Meriton and its operating companies. They must be an independent self-starter, innovative, resourceful, and possess strong organizational and communication skills to meet the needs of our multi-brand growing business.
Responsibilities:
- Implement recruiting best practices
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified trades professionals to meet both current and future hiring demands
- Conduct initial screenings to assess candidates' technical skills, qualifications, and cultural fit for the company
- Track key recruiting metrics, such as time to fill, time to hire, and source effectiveness, to identify areas for improvement and optimize the recruitment process
- Ensure a red-carpet candidate and hiring manager experience by providing clear communication, timely feedback, and a seamless hiring process
- Conduct interview process requirements with hiring manager and team to set expectations for recruitment process
- Use proactive sourcing and recruiting techniques including, but not limited to, job boards as well as Boolean searches, referrals, social media, colleges, and networks
- Manage daily information/candidate data tracking in the ATS and conduct regular data audits
- Partner with the university relations partner(s) in the college recruiting process, including attending career fairs and events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, trades related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of full cycle recruitment
- Specialty trade recruitment (HVAC Service Technicians, Electricians, Plumbers, etc.)
- Applicant tracking system and CRM experience
- Natural collaboration skills with a proven ability to work across teams to get things done and build strong relationships
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization, exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations

The work location is in a corporate setting where noise level is usually moderate and stress levels may be moderate to high on a regular basis. Although the position’s primary work location is the shared services office in Irving, Texas, the position does follow an in-office hybrid schedule (once fully trained and performing all functions within scope of the role). Depending upon project, position and/or company needs, the hybrid schedule may fluctuate and/or change in coordination with the VP, Talent Acquisition or other sponsor, as appropriate. The position will require the ability to work a flexible schedule in order to plan, host, and attend educational institution events as needed. Seasonal travel required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to twenty-five pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
