Cashier’s Job Description*
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $10.50 per hour
Work Location: In person
- Service
- Cashiers are the first point of contact for our customers and are directly responsible for delivering a great experience
- Promptly greet customer and thank them as they leave
- Explain products and answer questions, and suggest additional items
- Enthusiastically represent Turnbull’s TMT Sand Company
- Transactions
- Enter customer orders are accurately entered into the point-of-sale system
- Accept payments, and operate cash registers
- Handle cash payments, count and verify tills, and record totals appropriately
- Daily balance sales correctly
- Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment
- Clean and maintain scale house, scale and building exterior
- Maintain equipment and inform management of maintenance needs
- Keep work areas clean and organized
- Other responsibilities
- Complete all tasks with a sense of urgency, in a timely manner
- Work safely and follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- Review scale house manual and have a thorough understanding of each process
- Other duties as assigned
