Join Our Team: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health Unit in Brattleboro, VT
Location: Brattleboro, VT
Start Date: 11/4/2024
Duration: 13-Week Contract
Shift Type: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Hours per Day: 12 (36 hours per week guaranteed)
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
On-Call Requirements: Possible

Located in scenic Southern Vermont, Brattleboro Retreat offers specialized care in behavioral health. Our Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program provides 24-hour support in a nurturing environment to help patients manage sobriety and co-occurring psychiatric issues, such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Travel nurses are required to make up any missed shifts before the contract’s end. Starting 6/24/2024, local candidates within 35 miles of the facility are subject to a 10% rate decrease. RTO will not be approved for holiday periods (11/24-11/30 and 12/22-1/5), and travelers are expected to work two out of the three major holidays based on facility needs.
Qualifications:
Facility housing may be available at $300-450, depending on vacancy and room type. Should you choose facility housing, the agency will coordinate the leasing agreement.

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years as an RN (recent experience within the last 3 months required); must have experience with adolescent/child psychiatric care.
- Skills Checklist: Psych skills checklist completed within the past year.
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) Certification
- Licensing: Must be eligible and willing to obtain Vermont RN license.
- Profile Requirements:
- Resume: Must list psych experience and age groups.
- References: Two supervisory references from the past two years.
