Ensuring your personal safety, the safety of coworkers and customers is an obligation and primary duty. Supports the Maintenance Services Group by Mobile crane operating and rigging.
Hourly Rate: $33.35
Responsibilities:
- Lifting, and transporting various large objects using lifting and rigging equipment.
- Operating mobile and overhead cranes, forklifts, dollies, slings, shackles, come-a-longs, hoists, jacks, and assorted handle tools
- Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations to safely rig and move objects
- Must be able to obtain certification to operate various types of equipment to include forklifts, vehicles of various sizes, and overhead cranes
Here’s what you’ll need:
U.S. Citizenship required. Six years of experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training in a designated field, craft, or trade that can be documented by a certificate or diploma from a reputable organization, school, or trade program. Knowledgeable of local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations to safely rig and move objects. Must be able to obtain certification to operate various types of equipment to include forklifts, vehicles of various sizes, and overhead cranes. A current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is advantageous.
Must be able to effectively communicate well with others. Center Maintenance Operations and Engineering (CMOE) employees will exercise diligence when developing a Safe Plan of Action (SPA) for each task performed. Your SPA is a Company provided tool to be used for the prevention of incidents, accidents, and injuries: as such, it is the most important tool you are required to use.
Essential Functions
Work Environment:
Mechanical Shop (20%) All safety rules and regulations must always be followed without exception.
Travel between shop and various facilities is required (<10%)
Physical Requirements:
Visual and physical (hands on) contact of rigging related systems, hardware, articles. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist and sit for extended periods as well as climb, crawl, and lift up to 35 lbs. (20%) Body mobility (60%), and correct vision (100%). Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.
Equipment and Machines:
Standard office equipment – PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc. (10%)
Safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as fall protection equipment and general PPE.
Operating Forlift, Overhead Cranes, Mobile Crane, Sling, Hoist, and Hand Tools
Attendence:
Regular attendance is mandatory (100%)
Overtime/work outside normal schedule required
Other Essential Functions:
U.S. Citizenship required. Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and not impose a safety/risk hazard to the employee or others. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance as required.
