Rice Grader - Quality Assurance Job Location: Stuttgart, AR Starting Hourly Wage Rate: $16.07 (2 Positions) Regular work schedule is M-F 3:00pm- 11:00pm with some extended daily hours and weekend work possible. Also, will be required to work some 12-hour shifts. Hours worked from 5pm - 6am Monday – Thursday will receive a 15% shift premium. Hours worked on from 5pm Friday – 6am Monday will receive a 15% shift premium.

Job Summary
Responsible for grading rice shipments and production samples in order to ensure that the final product remains within internal and customer specifications. Also has responsibility for monitoring and documenting food safety, including HARPC, inspections and verifications.
Specific Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for food safety
Grade rice quality to Riceland, customer and USDA standards
Inspect labeling and package quality in accordance with the quality program
Generate Certificates of Analysis and distribute accordingly
Perform inspections and verifications as outlined by the food safety plan
Inspect food safety equipment for foreign material
Verify proper function of food safety equipment
Correctly document all tasks associated with both the food safety and quality programs
Release acceptable product for shipment utilizing WCS and other means as required
Hold unacceptable product from shipment utilizing WCS and other means as required
Report quality and food safety issues to supervision and management as required
Acquire and maintain files samples as needed
Work in various product shipping areas as assigned
Maintain an organized and clean work area
Work safely in accordance with the safety program
Attend training and informative meetings as required
Maintain compliance with any applicable 3rd party certification (ex: SQF)
Other jobs as assigned by departmental supervision
Educational Requirements:
High school diploma or GED is required.
Length of Training Required:
6 months – 1 year
Special Training:
Rice grading consistent with both Riceland and USDA standards, Moisture Meter operation, NIR oil analysis operation

Skills Required:
Good eyesight. Ability to read and follow instructions and procedures. Legible writing. Ability to perform intermediate math functions. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Basic computer skills, especially within a Windows based environment. Ability to work with little or no supervision.
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS OF JOB
Physical Abilities: Long periods of short distance vision work required. Must sit down for long periods. Will be required to lift, bend, stoop, squat, twist, reach, push, pull, kneel, climb, walk and stand in various environmental conditions. Must be able to ride a man-lift. Must be able to work alone.
