Repair Shop Associate
Description:
Our Repair Shop Associates utilize social skills and respond appropriately with empathy, warmth and knowledge as they utilize their training and common sense to diagnose problems, provide accurate service quotations, and perform basic repairs in a timely manner in our retail environment, often times while customers wait.
When no repairs are booked, Associates work on refurbishing frames and devices, respond to inquiries, skill-build, clean and perform other tasks as directed. Associates commonly work with cracked glass and other sharp objects, isopropyl alcohol, and encounter laser dust.
Ability to be trained, learn quickly, retain knowledge, manage time, follow directions, multi-task and work well alone and with a team is essential.
Responsibilities:
● Greet customers (in person and over the phone) in a friendly manner and maintain a positive work environment
● Open store on time as necessary
● Provide accurate time and cost estimates to customers quickly
● Maintain clean and inviting work environment
● Provide service and product recommendations to customers as necessary
● Diagnose, Troubleshoot, and Repair mobile devices – smartphones, i Pads etc. – in a manner that meets or exceeds customer and employer expectations
● Follows standard operating procedures and directions
● Assist co-workers and contribute to the team’s success
● Interact and converse appropriately with customers, co-workers, manager and owner utilizing self-awareness, respect, and social cues
● Utilize POS system to maintain accurate records of work and sales and to check customers in an out quickly and accurately in a friendly manner
● Explain technical issues to customers in an easy to understand manner
● Accurately operate and maintain a cash drawer and follow cash handling procedures
● Notify manager of any damages, supplies needed or inventory out of stock
● Anything else as directed by the Repair Center Manager or Owner
The ideal candidate will have a verifiable solid (longer term) work history, display an interest in tech, and show above average communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
