Schedule: PRN, Days, 8am -430pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides direct outpatient care in a physician driven; hospital-based wound care department.
- Coordinates wound care for each patient specific to their needs.
- Communicates with other departments in the hospital, primary care providers and all wound clinic staff in regards to the patient plan of care and optimal wound healing outcome.
- Responds to changes in the patient’s medical status through communication with providers as needed.
- Ability to perform wound care assessments on a patient.
- Ability to implement and revise plan of care as indicated by the patients response to their treatment.
- Knowledge of medication and their correct administration based on age of patient and their clinical condition.
- Maintains current certifications through continuing education.
- Responsible for nursing documentation related to patient consults and treatment.
- Provides efficient, quality centered, cost effective wound care for each patient.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current unrestricted Wyoming RN or LPN license.
- BLS certification
- Previous experience in Wound Care preferred
- Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, pharmacology, and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, data entry, word processing, excel, EMR (Cerner) Maintain confidentiality.
