Registered Nurse

Pride Health is hiring a Registered Nurse, Medical/Surgical, to support our client’s medical facilityin Rapid City, South Dakota. This permanent opportunity is a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Monitoring – Conduct regular patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, and monitoring for any changes in condition. Ensure accurate documentation of all observations and interventions
Medication Administration – Safely administer medications as prescribed, monitor for adverse reactions, and educate patients on medication usage and potential side effects
Care Plan Development and Implementation – Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans, ensuring each patient’s unique needs are met. Implement and adjust care plans as needed to promote patient recovery
Wound Care and Post-Surgical Management – Provide wound care, dressings, and post-surgical management, following protocols to minimize the risk of infection and support optimal healing
Patient Education and Discharge Planning – Educate patients and families on post-discharge care, lifestyle changes, and follow-up instructions. Coordinate discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition to home or another care facility
Team Collaboration and Communication – Work closely with doctors, nurse assistants, and other healthcare professionals, maintaining clear communication to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care

Required Qualifications:

Current South Dakota State RN License
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Open to nurses without experience in med-surg who are eager to develop their skills.

Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: 3x12 rotating shifts
Pay Range: $ 29.00 to 36.00/ hour

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
