How will you contribute to the success of the team?
Perform comprehensive inspections of trucks and other fleet equipment.
Identify and document any mechanical or safety issues.
Execute basic maintenance tasks and handle minor repairs as necessary.
Guarantee compliance with all transportation laws and regulations.
Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize equipment repairs.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
Foster effective communication with the maintenance director and team members.
Engage in training and development sessions to enhance job knowledge and skills.
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including the proper care and use of shop tools.
Any other duties assigned by shop supervision within reason.
What makes you a strong candidate for this position?
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical training is preferred.
Demonstrated attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety protocols.
Basic knowledge of truck systems and components.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Willingness to learn and the ability to follow directions.
Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and adapt to different shift patterns.
