The Suffolk Academy of Law is seeking a part-time educational program coordinator to assist in developing, coordinating and implementing educational programs for the Suffolk County legal community. The Academy of Law is a 501 c 3 nonprofit organization that provides training and education for attorneys, judges and court personnel.
This position is responsible for coordinating educational programs in accordance with the Opioid Grant program description and deliverables. Must have excellent organizational skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, attention to detail and experience working with a diverse group. Duties This position is responsible for but not limited to: · Assist in developing, coordinating and implementing educational programs; · Work in partnership with community agencies, and diverse populations including judges, and court personnel; · Ability to collaborate effectively; · Ability to meet deadlines; · Outreach to local Libraries; · Manage timelines and programming schedule; · Coordinate program logistics with other staff members; · Respond to internal and external queries on grant reimbursement; · Maintain records and submit reports for reimbursement; · Help prepare funding applications for grants and other sources. Requirements: · Must have prior program coordination experience; · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; · Excellent writing skills; · Travel when necessary; · Excellent time management skills; · Evening hours when needed; · Proficient in MS Office suite; · Ability to problem solve and work independently; · Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. · Other assignments as directed by the Executive Director This position reports to the SCBA Executive Director.
