Porter/Groundskeeper

The Porter / Groundskeeper will be responsible for the exterior and common area upkeep.

Essential Functions:

Report to the Community Manager each morning to communicate the daily needs of the property and receive daily assignments.
Routinely walks the property and reports any observed problems on the property or in common areas.
Maintains the buildings and breezeways to be free from trash and cobwebs. Cleaning of all common areas, model units, amenities and maintaining of compactor area to be free from debris.
Use cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the buildings looking clean and professional.
Perform routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by the Community Manager, if applicable.
Assisting when needed in preparing market-ready units,
Properly performs casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items and following appropriate safety procedures.
Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment. Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
Be able to communicate well and often through email, phone, and our online platform.
Minimum 1 year of experience in general groundskeeping or custodial work.
Must be able to operate tools and equipment related to facility maintenance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures
Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment up to 50 lbs. occasionally to complete assigned job tasks
