Part Time Sales Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and providing exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of product knowledge, supporting the sales process, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customers with information about products, answering questions and addressing concerns.
- Demonstrate products to customers and conduct product demos as needed.
- Operate a cash register and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, including the sales floor, stockroom, and break room.
- Assist with stock and inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Use retail math to calculate sales, discounts, and totals.
- Utilize a point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Participate in sales promotions and special events to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls and responding to inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with other sales associates and management to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior retail sales experience is preferred, but not necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in retail math and POS systems.
- Fluency in a second language (Bilingual) is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional shopping experience.
- Supervisory experience is a plus, but not necessary.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
