Salary: $100,880 - $115,003, plus a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits

Our client, a respected healthcare provider and Level IV trauma center, is dedicated to delivering top-tier care close to home. As a not-for-profit Critical Access Hospital, they lead in healthcare services across southeastern Utah. Role Summary:
The Outpatient Nursing Services Manager (OPNS) will be a key part of our client’s nursing leadership, managing the OPNS team and program initiatives. This role includes quality control, regulatory compliance, financial management, outreach marketing, and clinical oversight, supporting the hospital's commitment to outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will enjoy a blend of hands-on clinical duties and administrative responsibilities, providing on-call support across departments and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for outpatient infusion and nursing treatments.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external providers, promoting outpatient services and generating referrals.
  • Lead the development of outpatient nursing programs, including Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care nursing, ensuring staff training reflects the latest standards.
  • Oversee prior authorization, coding, and billing processes.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.
  • Coordinate onboarding and ongoing training for department staff.
  • Manage the department’s financials, including monthly reports and annual budget planning.
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years in Oncology Nursing (required).
  • ONS certification.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school.
  • Active RN license in Utah.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • At least 3 years of recent RN experience.
  • Proven leadership and team-building skills, with a high degree of emotional maturity.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Professionalism in handling sensitive information and high-stress situations.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Certified Wound Care Nurse and Infusion certification.
  • Familiarity with rural healthcare settings and an interest in joining a small, supportive community.
