About us The Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence is a 501(C)3 Non-profit Organization located at 4040 La Grande Princesse in Christiansted, Virgin Islands. The NP position will be responsible for recording medical data and results into the required system, performing physical exams, administering diagnostic tests, and creating patient care plans. The NP will be responsible for presenting this information in a respectful and conversational manner to families and patients, while administering treatment and observe patients’ functioning over time. Duties include: Requirements:
Performing physical exams and patient observations.
Recording patients’ medical histories and symptoms.
Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
Ordering, administering, and analyzing diagnostic tests, x-rays, blood work, and scans.
Advise patients regarding prescriptions and treatments plans.
Monitoring and operating medical equipment.
Diagnosing health issues.
Detecting changes in patients’ health and modifying treatment plans, as needed.
Consulting with healthcare professionals and families.
Training patients and their families to manage and prevent illness and injury.
Must have a current license as a nurse practitioner (NPs) in the Virgin Islands
Must have a current, unencumbered presence in the Virgin Islands
Must have a strong desire to help others.

Need to have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Need to have a valid driver's license and be able to travel with the team when necessary.
Need to have a positive attitude and be able to communicate well with our patients and other team members.
Need to have strong computer skills.
Qualifications:
Two or more years of clinical experience as a NP
Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program
RN Licensure and board-certified by either ANCC or AANP
Bilingual a plus
